Har gow is a traditional Cantonese shrimp dumpling served in dim sum. There is a great dim sum place in Oklahoma City called Grand House. They have dim sum on the weekends and it is one of my very favorite things. There is something wonderful about picking and choosing and trying lots of different things with family and friends - finding the "new" thing and also great staples, like these shrimp dumplings, known as "xia jiao" or "har gow" in Cantonese.
